This has been a rather frustrating month. Our PC kicked the bucket with a bulging leaking motherboard due to a power surge. When we finally got a new tower i learned, to my great dismay, that the program i use to create everything from my shop banner to the thank you notes for my jewelry isn't compatible with windows 7! All my pics for my jewelry from this year are lost from Kodak Easy Share too... sigh .However today is a new day & i was able to add & edit some pics w KES although i couldn't upload them from the Kodak easyshare... but that is a whole other issue!
Artistically it has been a bit of a roller coaster ride. I am painting daily, some days i love how my painting is going, then i try to "perfect" the piece & end up ruining it & starting all over. One thing i am learning about my art is that the less i fuss with it, the less detail i add, and the more loose, the more i love it.
(the color is a bit too garish/bright in the photo) This landscape took me about 2 weeks to complete. Camels Hump mt is in the background, which we see from our front window. I relaxed & let myself paint with abandon when i came to the grasses & the path, which turned out to be my favorite parts of this piece.
