my wee but wonderful studio - OR - just because he doesn't know beans about jewlery, doesn't mean he can't make a great work shop!

Inspired by my friend Katy's blog about an artisan's work space, I thought I'd share mine with you as well.
My "studio" is actually half of a very small room that is also shared by my husband's "ham radio" set up. Do you see that fabulous & organized space in the photos? It was 9 years in the making, but Art did all of that!

I was very content using the table (a rejected count top from our local building supply center) with drawers (from a discount store) & shelving that Art had also previously made for me. However I had SaraLee deli containers, (cleaned of course! ;D) & filled with stones, beads, wire, tools etc; all piled high on my table, leaving me very little usable work space.
When I came back from Chicago in April, where I was helping our daughter prepare for the birth of our second granddaughter; this fabulous studio was awaiting me!! And without my consent I might add!!

See the green shelves in the pictures? Those were new to my space & what a change they made! I actually can sit there & create! And the new shelves even have a spot that holds the "bust display" perfectly! The chest of drawers hold all my shipping supplies: gift boxes, tissue, ribbons, mailers, business cards, earring cards, & other needed items. He moved it from the other side of the room to make an L shaped work zone for me!

Here's the kicker... prior to the trip to Chicago, Art had asked several times over the years to help me reorganize my work area & I always said "no thanks", that "everything is just fine"!
Just think, it could have been this fabulous years ago!!

Hi! If you have read this blog, you know that I'm a part of the Marketplace of Blessings at 1000Markets. You also know that we just started a Christian blog called Blessing to Blessings.
Well we added a little feature ~ "Divine Inspirations".

Is there something that you have made, that you felt was Divinely inspired? Or perhaps something you made that really Blessed someone? If so I'd love to post it on the blessings blog... even if you don't belong to 1000markets, or etsy! you don't even have to have a shop!!
This is an open invitation!

You write a little something, or a lot of something, & I'll post it! If you sell on line, I'll add a link to your item, or shop; & that way there will be even more blessings!
Thank you & I hope to learn about your Divine Inspiration!

A Bit of Stretching

If you've read my blog you know that I'm selling my Ever So Dear jewelry at etsy and at 1000Markets. I'm loving every minute of it especially at 1KM. What is totally new is that I was asked by Katy of JewelFireDesigns to help get a Christian market off the ground. In all honesty Katy does 99% of the real work & I just add a bit of this & that here & there! :) This is a new thing for me, it's been eons since I did anything up front; I tend to be shy I guess, so I only volunteer for really behind the scenes stuff.
If you feel like it, please check out the new Blessings market, you'll find all sorts of wonderful handcrafted items.

♥ ♥ ♥ Joon plays Sweet 16! ♥ ♥ ♥

~~~~~~~Joonbeam~~~~~~~
I am so pleased & delighted that Joonie is playing Sweet 16!
I met Joonie through the BBEST team at etsy. She is a rare person, always cheerful, & eager to encourage! Joonie is full of life & joy & her heart sees wonderful qualities in everybody she meets! It's not just her personality & character that make her unique, it's also what she sells in her shops! She sells pieces of her heart to cheer & encourage all the while saving our planet!
This fanciful piece of art, "Synchronized Swimming" by Joon is done on the back of a greeting card!
This, from her flyinghousewife shop, is a listing for a letter...."This listing is for one handwritten letter, from the heart, from me to a housebound friend. Do you know someone who could use some cheer from a friendly pen pal? Each letter is individual ..... & will contain touches of my illustration and/or collage artwork..."
In Joonie's 3rd shop, JoonWalk one of the things she sells are Vintage Vocabulary Necklaces!! Saving the planet & the English language at the same time!
DEARLY BELOVED necklace
♥ The verse in the locket is a special one from Song of Songs.."my beloved is mine & I am his". My husband gave me a ring with this inscription, on our 1st valentine's day as husband & wife. To this day, many years later, he still calls me his "beloved." ♥
